In continuation of my Confidential Despatch of

4th. November relative to the shipment to this Port from Bang- -kok of carepes of rice alleged to be of enemy origin, I have the honour to forward the enclosed paraphrase of a telegram received

from His Majesty's Minister at Bangkok regarding the Khoon Seng

firm.

I may take this opportunity to acknowledge the

receipt of your cypher telegram of the 14th. November a paraphrase

of which is attached. I have not yet received from His Majesty's

Minister my information regarding the proposed sale of rice by

Markwald's to American buyers; but no transhiprant facilities will be allowed in respect of cargo coming from this firm.
